...as the pastor goes, so goes the parish ministry. I've always grieved at the pastors who are stressed, depressed, and weary and choose to do little if anything about it. Thereby we witness congregations rife, unrest and division. I certainly don't make these comments from a distance as I've flirted with that 'black hole' several years ago. Having been 'there,' and knowing others who are presently in that situation, I am very thankful for Grace Place in Shepherding the Shepherds and providing the tools to make church workers healthy again.
We were always a joyful couple but somehow that joy had become overshadowed by the intensity of congregational and school ministry. That joy has been reclaimed as a result of Grace Place Retreats. I want you to know your concept of Grace Place Retreats has made a profound difference in our lives. I can say with confidence that your vision is God-inspired.
The educator's retreat has been a real blessing to us. Taking time to slow our pace, meditate, and listen/talk to God was what we needed to revitalize our faith walk. God's hand was truly evident in our week at Grace Place. May God continue to bless you and all your work for His Kingdom.
…We literally cannot count the number of valuable lessons that we have learned. We know that a strong marriage, healthy living, and fiscal health will provide a stable environment for our ministry. Grace Place has been the capstone for this to happen.”
